| Hesham Fouad joined SAPESCO in May 1985. His 32-year career with SAPESCO spans a range of management positions; in July 2016, he became Chief Executive Officer of SAPESCO GCC. Before that, in 2009 Fouad was Chief Executive Officer of Sahara Petroleum Services Corporation (SAPESCO). Prior to this position, he was Vice President for Marketing and Business Development for SAPESCO and also the Managing Director of WEMCO (a group owned factory specialized in Water Well Screens Production). In a series of earlier assignments, he was the Founder and Director of the measurements division in SAPESCO, and Founder of the E&P division in SAPESCO that was later spun off as a separate company (Sahara Oil and Gas). Fouad was the Managing Director of Sahara Oil and Gas and managed to increase the company market value from 15,000 USD in 2004 to 200 Million USD in 2008, this is in addition to doubling the number of concessions owned by the company. Fouad’s 25 years career with Sahara Group spans a variety of achievements and success stories. His achievements included turning around WEMCO from 5 Million L.E. losses to 12 Million L.E. profits. He established and operated SAPESCO branch in Syria, which was the first step in SAPESCO’s regional existence. Major acquisitions were successfully architected, planned and managed such as ZAFCO, West Qarun, South West Gebl el Zeit and North Bahmia. Fouad received his degree in Geology, Cairo University. He is an active member of the board of several companies; Sahara Group, Zaafarana Petroleum Company (ZAFCO), Fanar Petroleum Company (FANPETCO), Petrohurgada Petroleum Company and Oasis Petroleum Company. |
